This all depends on what year/generation car you have and what harness you are wanting to use. Some will work some won't. Be more specific as to the year and model of car you have and what swap you are doing.

Re: B16 and B18 engine wiring? (VTECVillain)
Im putting an obd1 swap into my 94 integra LS shell (obviously obd1) THe problem is that it is a jspec motor and the wiring it comes with goes to the other side of the engine bay than i need. I guess i could use a delsol vtec (with the b16a3) right? Bc they didnt even have a b series vtec motor inthe civic's until 99.. They had them in crx's though right? but the crx's arent obd1... ahh if i could find someone selling an obd1 usdm gsr wiring harness this would be much easier.
I cant use the LS because its nonvtec, correct?

If you can get an OBD1 GSR engine harness then it would be all plug and play on the motor and you would only have to do the wiring on the chassis side harness. You could also easily reuse the LS harness and simply salvage the necessary wiring that you need from the JDM engine harness.

If the motor is a USDM B18C5 then reuse the C5 harness if possible. If not, then get a 96-01 GSR or ITR harness, that way everything on the engine will be plug and play. You can also reuse the stock harness from the car but in addition to the normal VTEC wiring, you'll also need to change the distributor, alternator and injector plugs.
The problem with using the ITR ECU, again I assume it's USDM is that the 00-01 ECU's have and immobilizer built in. If you want the ECU to match the motor, just get a JDM OBD2 ITR ECU and a jumper harness. You can also stay OBD1 by using a chipped P28 ECU. Talk to Kenji and Katman on here because they both offer ECU chipping services and have programs to properly run ITR motors.
