if the cable transmission is a 92-93 then its swappable with 94-01 hydraulic

for the 96-00 civic putting a cable transmission the kit would be EKCC

If I were you, I would just swap over the casings. I did mine the opposite direction (hydro gears to cable casing) for my 92 Integra.

Any B-series Hydraulic transmission is fully interchangable with any 92+ cable transmission. If you have a factory LSD but a case without LSD, it will require a tinybit of grinding. I'm not sure if the same clearance issues exist for aftermarket LSDs though.

Swapping over everything is a really simple procedure, I'm astonished at why more poeple don't do this swap. You have Honda clutch feel and reliability, save yourself quite alot of money, and also dont have wait for your conversion kit to arrive. LS B-series transmissions can be found fairly cheap as well. just make sure to measure the differential pre-load, and mainshaft thrust clearances and get shims accordingly.

Here is a very good write up about this, but for hydro-> cable. Going from Cable -> Hydro is the same procedure.
