Icon2 shaving rain rails...

i was just wondering what would the best way of shaving the rain rails on my crx? i have herd some different things...
a lot of people say to weld a bunch of medal to fill it.
any help would be amazing!

personally i wouldnt do it....BUT if you want to do it...DO NOT FILL IT WITH FILLER DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT


what you could do is cut a strip of metal same size length and have it welded into the rail. then filler to make it look smooth.

buy them? that's a hell of a lot cheaper, easier, and a better idea than filling them.

Call a local dealer. People are always scared of calling a dealer and ordering an OEM part, but the truth is that many times a dealer part is as cheap if not cheaper than any aftermarket part. Don't go through a local body shop, because you'll pay at least a 20% mark up. Ask me how I know. lol

Just weld it and cut some sheet metal and bondo it down then sand it. If done right it would look very nice.. I took my rain rail off because i didn't like.. = (

i was looking at universal windshield molding to replace my worn out rubber strips. the stuff i had access to was too thin, but i think if you found the right stuff, and figured out a way to attach the stuff, it would work good
