Default Thinking about gettin an ef hatch

thinking about trading my EG8 sedan for an ef hatch..but im not sure i talked to one of my friends about my decision but he said that ef's have too many problems..so i really need some info on them..thanks

Regardless, if it's an OLD car it's bound to have OLD CAR PROBLEMS at some point in time. It's up to the owner to stay on top of maintainance and repair. Stuff wears out, it's life.

EDIT: For the OP, both cars are basically the same thing. You like square? Go for the EF then. You like round? Stay with what you got or look for a 92-95 hatch if you're set on a hatch. I have both, they are really the same thing with the main difference being square vs. round.

yip ef's are a big hassle but if u fix em up clean the end result you'll get will be superb. like in one month all the stuff that went out on mine:
the clutch switch: 20 bucks
starter: 90
alternator: 90
waterpump: 200 am having a shop do it.

My daily driver is a 91' civic si with almost 230K on the odo with a completely stock motor/trans/clutch. I have owned several Honda's over the years and I have found no big difference between owning a 88-91, 92-95, 96-00. It's all about what shape the car is in when you get it and how you take care of it.

was the gray ef primed because a guy in sumter had one but i think he sold it

yeah like a grey ish color. yep with halos? haha that was mine. i sold it because i moved up here to montana and i needed a truck to toe my stuff. this car?
