where is tcu/tcm? 2000 teg
excellent, thank you for the reply. I began to suspect as much because I took the car apart and found nothing. Would you also happen to know how I can make an OBDIIB auto transmission run in a 92-95 civic?
thanks again.
thanks again.
mmmm, not sure how that would work seeing as how the controls for the tranny are mated with the ECU, and vice versa. You wouldnt be able to convert to an obd1 setup with that trans i believe. But dont quote me on that.
yeah it could be hard: would have to wire in a TCM and an OBD1 ECU. I was thinking, what if I just swap ALL the wiring from the teg, including cluster, fuses, relays, and everything into the civic. That would just transfer the teg setup directly, which is guaranteed to run the tranny and engine perfectly. My only concern with this approach would be the question of whether all the sensors and accessories in the body of the civic can mate ok with the teg body harness.
There may be an aftermarket TCU available, we are in the process of installing/wiring a TCI, [aftermarket programmable TCU] in a 58 Chev PU powered by a big block, [572] Chev crate engine. the TCI unit is specific to a Chev, but there may be ones for Acura, Google is your friend. 94
