I have some buddy club coilovers installed on my 96 Midori Hatch.

The rear suspension has been knocking for a while, so I finally decided to fix it.

Turns out one of the nuts on the top mount's stud wouldnt come off.

We even gave it ago with the power tool. And for some reason the bottom of the stud where you put a hex key in was all messed up too.

After a while of prying and using a nice air ratchet. We managed to get it off, but that stud was so far gone its incredible.

We drove on down to lowes to try and find a similiar stud but the closest we got was a tapered M8-1.25, we got a stud, nut and washer, and called it a day. But its no where near the size of the old one.

Would buddy club be willing to sell me the replacement I need?

Or is there somewhere where I could get exactly what I need online?

 

Nobody has any ideas?

 

Get ahold of BC and see what they say would be my first step. Unfortunately manufacturers have their own size studs/nuts/bolts with oddball thread pitches so they can customize their parts from others thus bringing them more business for replacement parts. Chances are you wont just come across that stud w/o visiting a specialty store or contacting a BC dealer/vendor
