Default '01 Accord (auto) Transmission Problem

So about a week ago I started noticing that my accord would shift hard from a cold start. The problem only occured from a cold start and would stop after a few minutes of the car running. OBD Scans didnt throw any codes. I talked to a Honda tech and they told me that it sounded like the Transmission fluid needed a change. Took care of that but the problem still consisted as well as just a day or two before that I had noticed slight over revving problem added to the hard shift both things still only occured from cold start and only stuck around the first couple minutes of driving the car till it seemed "warm". After changing the fluid the problems seemed to decrease or become a little better but werent fixed. I talked to another Honda tech and they then told me it sounded like the pneumatic solenoids/valve that are a part of the transmission might be having a problem. I let the car sit for a couple of days and then this morning I went up to the corner store and on the way there the Check Engine light kicked on and the car seemed to get stuck in 2nd or 3rd gear. On the way back the light stayed on and has since but the shifting problem seemed to go away. When I got home I checked the OBD Scans again and the code P0700 and P1751 both came up. Im going to take it into the Honda Dealership tomorrow and see what they have to say but I was hoping someone had had a similar problem and could help shed some light on the situation for me.

Yeah im guessing its the pneumatic solenoids or the torque converter... still havent had the chance to take it in i dont wanna risk not having the cash if it needs a full overhaul :/ but if thats the case anyways ill prolly be buying 2 burnt out used trannys that have different problems and rebuilding it for a couple hundred... done it before with a buddies mazda truck and we got away with only spending 100 bucks... 50 on each tranny :D

Weak clutches, replace them. Also during the overhaul, replace the clutch pressure valves, and pressure regulator valve, and torque converter. It is will known that fluid overheating in the converter ruins the clutch discs.

Go ahead and clear the screens or solenoids, they are not the problem and rarely are. Fluid restrictions due to clutch material shedding is the cause, and unless you correct that, expect the problem to return soon.

To castleman3183, you need new clutches plus the mentioned fixes.
