loose steering
my 89 crx has had really loose steering on it for a while i changed the bushings on it it got a little better but it still feels like im driving side to side even if i use hulk grip on my steering wheel and hold it straight ill try to get a video of how it looks and sounds
It's more than likely worn inner and possible outer tie rods. Also CRX's had a problem with rear subframes cracking, do a search for more info on what to look for to find the crack.
Ya, what tyson said, sounds like the rack/pinion. But on my friend's car his is just super loose, like 1/4 turn doesnt turn car until that 1/2 turn mark, one of the rack/pinion screws is missing and the other is super loose.

you need to refurbish your steering rack. other than probably replacing any torn accordion boots, you just replace the rack end bushing and adjust the pinion. then replace any tie rod that has play.
take your car to a shop if you dont know how to diagnose a bad balljoint. they can put it on a lift and show you.
