long story short. I got a AMAZING DEAL on a super clean 95 accord ex, 2 dr., 5sp., 2.2 vtec low miles. FLAWLESS inside and out. I bought her from the original owner (who was a 58 yr. old man). 100% bone stock. ONE problem. when I tried to take the car to red line, 1 I didn’t hear vtec (which was kind of expected) but also the engine hit the rev limiter at 5500 RPMs. before I drove it I did the normal inspection, all belts good, no oil in "spark plug tubes," oil level was perfect (golden brown oil), and there was only a very minor oil leak. But I did notice what looked like fresh oil around the vtec solenoid. basically anyone have any ideas on where to start? thanks............
