A simple query....
I just bought a 1988 EF hatchback, which I love. It's red, and has a panel on the hatch that says "Civic". The panel is made of the same material as the tail light covers. I saw a blue hatch identical to mine, but with a black panel that said "Civic". Two questions; is that a standard for blue hatches? And can a swap be made simply?

Really? Mine says DX on the back. I didn't know the red ones were more desireable, all I know is I like the black one better!
To swap them just:
1. Pop open trunk
2. Unscrew the nuts (usually the black coated finger twists, but I've seen some ghetto rigged ones)
3. Slide out.
4. ?????
5. Profit

If you want a black one and the guy with the black one wants to swap, then you should do it. It will make both you you happy.
