Gas Pedals Fix The Stick?
Hey guys I have a 95 EG CX Stock... and well my pedal is smooth as hell... I mean SMOOOOTH.
But my friends pedal is well "sticky". Imagine taking your fist's and rubbing your knuckles across each other.
Well it has a built b16 engine and I took it to be smogged one day trying to be extra careful, and went burning out across an intersection.
So How can I help him to fix this problem? Should I look at my set up and see how it is run?
Let me know your answer and reason why.
Thx

make sure you have a b16 throttle bracket and cable...making sure the cable is nice, get a new one if needed
lastly, make sure the throttle body itself is not the part sticking

Also clean out the throttle body and throttle plate

I had a sticky throttle cable and throttle body. With the engine cold, I sprayed the cable and the pulley area of the throttle body off with starting fluid. It dissolved the gunk on it and made it not stick. Starting fluid is flammable (it's ether), so be careful. There may be something safer, but starting fluid is what I could find.
