Default huge coolant leak

okay so i was driving and heard like a weird noise coming from like the alternator area. so i took my car for a test drive and i thought if i punch it maybe it will go away. but as soon as i pull into my driveway a bunch off coolant starts leaking its coming from like the drivers side of the engine. it just like goes in and 5 seconds later the whole thing just pores out. idk what could it be, any suggestions thanxxx????
engine is a D16a6

Your water pump is located in the region of the motor. its behind the motor mound and runs of your timing belt. i would fix it ASAP OR YOU WILL WARP/CRACK/YOUR HEAD AND BLOW YOUR HEADGASKET ALONG WITH MANY OTHER DAMAGES.

Yeah most likely the water pump. Why would "punching it" fix any problems?

120 is super cheap. My friend brought his (the T word.... eerrr) TOYOTA [SUV] into a shop and they charged $400 for replacement of alternator + they told him he needs new water pump and since they were "already in the engine at the time" they'd "only" charge $180 extra to do it.

When I found out I about **** myself.

I'm never bring ANYTHING to that shop.
