I'm helping with a motor swap-out in a 99 base model Prelude with a deaded crankshaft. This is my first adventure messing with a Prelude so any help would be great.
My friend ordered a JDM H22A that looks like it is stamped "96". From what I understand, to make it work, we will need to swap to the new motor:
Oil pump (because it has the crank sensor mounts)
lower front timing cover (for the hole for the crank sensor wires)
crank sensor
The three sprockets for the balancer shaft (one on the crank, front shaft, and the gearbox??)- one or all of them have the crank sensor pickup?
Intake Maifold including rail and injectors (different style and size of injectors along with smaller vac ports on the JDM mani)
The thermostat housing (JDM one hits the coil)
The Vtec solenoid & Vtec pressure switch (no pressure switch on the JDM motor)
Coil (coil is built into the jdm dizzy)
Distributor (the 99 is stationary and the JDM one is adjustable by twisting plus plugs are different)
Engine harness
Am I skipping anything? Any suggestions?

I was going todo this swap but found a sweeter deal from an add on craigslist. But besides the point of that, its extremely easy. Your list of parts are exactly what i researched. i know here on honda-tech its a little confusing and the post seem to drag on about peoples thoughts exp w.e. but what i did find helpful for sure and a detailed list of parts/req. was on Preludeonline dot com... Theres a list to weather you wanna run OBDII or OBDI, i would recommend the OBDII set up less hassel and wiring seems to get tricky with repinning and what not and extended some other wires. But Check out that site it's in the FAQ's section. Ive researched and asked many questions and asked again and been to countless sites. so if you have a few or any questions just ask i'll answer or help research to find the answer

Thanks. We finished this up over the weekend. The two crankshaft gears- one that drives the balancer shaft belt and the one that drives the timing belt are the only ones that need to be swapped. The intake manifold would have been 10X easier to swap when the motor was out. Those lower bolts are a pain to get to with the car in the way!
