Does it matter which way you turn? What size tires are you running? Is your car lowered?

It could also be your wheel bearing or your axle

a wheel bearing would be a hum and an axle would be more of a click. he should check his boots for tears or any unusual signs of wear on the axles. check all your suspension components while you are under there and you will find it

i usually play it by ear, but you can possibly jack the car up and spin the wheel or turn it to see if you hear that noise.

Checking the wheel bearing for tightness is key too. grab the tire on top and bottom and try to wiggle it back and forth (like a loose tooth) if there is play the bearing is bad.
