Del Sol statistic question
How many of the near 75,000 sold in the U.S. shipped with an automatic transmission? Is there a stat for this?

Don't have any statistics, but probably less than half. The vtec model was only available as a 5 speed, the S and Si could both be had with an automatic.
In the US we have the following del Sol trims: S, Si, VTEC
The del Sol S has the SOHC non-VTEC engine (1.5L and 1.6L). The del Sol Si has the SOHC VTEC engine (1.6L). The del Sol VTEC has the DOHC VTEC engine (1.6L).
Some SOHC VTEC engines say VTEC on them, but that doesn't make the car the VTEC trim level.
Yep, what NOFX said.
Also, SOME (like mine) has a VTEC emblem on the back, but the VIN (and the SOHC) says its an SI.
I figure a previous owner thought it would be cool way to make the car faster (at least they didnt add speed holes, or stripes)
