noob looking for any tips

Default noob looking for any tips

Hi
ive seen people on here make some amasing things and there welds look like a work of art, ive allways wanted to weld realy good just never bought or welded with tig befor, ive done a small bit with a mig but not much,
ive just bought this ac/dc tig to get started, i did not want to buy somthing realy cheap and nasty that will brake.

Does any one have any tips or tricks to help a noob out.
im going to be reading the op instructions that come with it to start with.

any tips would be great, thanks

my first project is going to be making a cart for the welder and bottle

the biggest tip is related to interwebz, not welding: use the search function. then, just browse this forum and you'll find lots of tips. there is a wealth of info on here, get reading!

Have fun with your new machine , cart is a great 1st project! My tip is try to breath and relax, i tend to hold my breath for some reason while welding....i think it makes me tense and shakey

think my alloy rads are too big to lear with
