Default b20 VTEC questions please help !!

I have some questions... they are probably newbie questions but I would be new to the b20vtec
1. What should a properly put together b20 vtec be able to rev to on stock internals safely and reliably.
2. What kind of power should one put out w/say I/H/E
3. If any body has ball park 1320 et. if one was in a civic cpe. 92-95
4. Can it handle a 60 shot of NOS safely.......

My b16 could... and was reliable daily just wondering if the b20 is more delicate
any other tips or tricks would be appreciated..
thanks in advance!!!!!!!!

dont run a b20vtec on stock internals. the pistons will smack into valves and create a messy situation.

to build a good, reliable crvtec that will last, you are looking at $5500+. I wouldnt dump that kind of money into a motor and then put it on the bottle

i am not a big advocate of b20 vtecs because few people actually take the time to build them right.

I'm going to have to disagree, what would be the sense in building a motor up for a specific application then it not being able to run it reliablily. I mean for $5500+ (which seems high) I would be expect quite a lot from that motor. What you stated about taking the time and doing it right applies to NOS too, there will be no problems if corners aren't cut and it's installed properly. I wouldn't blame user error on the product and also wouldn't want to build a high dollar engine that isn't going to hold any power.

LMAO! Tinkerbell's response was the only reason I responded to this topic
