i think the point of the thread is to show you don't need to go spend $1k+ on camera equipment to take good pics of your car.

here's some of my old wagon using a crappy point and shoot:

point n shootin sense 91 son

word of advice... the less editing needed the better, don't muck up the quality of a already not so quality photo...

this is generally speaking, for someone who only has a point n shoot, typically don't know how to edit a basic photo in photoshop programs etc. and know what they are actually looking for to change. Of course if it looks better do it but the point is where its helpful to the overall composition and when its just too much... not as easy as it seems especially because i always see a over done pic compared to under developed one.

Photography is 2 parts photographer and 1 part editing.

Has nothing to do with the camera nor gear, for the most part at least.

i completely agree. most users mess with the photo's waaaaaay to much and 99% of the time come out looking worse then they started. honestly not much more is needed to do to point and shoot cam pics then adjust the levels and get them to where they look good and quality is not lost.

for the ps noobs out there, load your pics into photoshop and just do a auto-contrast and auto-tone and maybe add a small black stroke and leave it at that. you'll be surprised how good your pics will look compared to what they started out as.
