My passenger side power window motor stopped working. I changed the motor today hooked it up for a test and nothing. It won't go up or down from the passenger side and driver's side controls. I took the old motor and hooked it up directly to the battery and the gear started moving. I checked the fuse and it's still good. Anyone have a clue what the problem is?

 

Y,M, & M? we're gonna have to trace the pwr window circuit...

 

How should I do that?

 

Just start off with hookin me up with the Year, Make, and Model of the car these motors are intended for...

 

1998 Honda Prelude

 

Let's start with the easy stuff... the window switch is plugged in? (dumb ?, I know, but I've seen something like that overlooked before)

Underdash fuse box, fuse #16, 20amp, is this fuse good?

Do you get 12v on each side of that fuse with ignition on?

 

at your passenger door power window switch, there should be a blue wire w/black stripe. Does this wire have 12v with ignition on?
