b16 tranny clutch wont engage
hey everybody i just put a b16 tranny on my 00 civic si and when i went to drive it for the first time the clutch wont grab... i can shift it into every gear smooth... one thing i did notice if i have the clutch out all the way the car will be on and it wont die... (when in gear) . i can also shift it into every gear without putting the clutch in?? please help really appreciate it.

did you check to see if the splines on the transmission input shaft were the same as the clutch friction disc. Does the clutch pedal have pressure when depressed. Is there a clutch in stalled in the car. I have heard of a lot of issues but never this one. most likely an easy find but you may have to remove the trans again. when Its out spin the main shaft and see if the diff moves? maybe the trans is missing some internals? But it sounds most likely you are missing a clutch component. ie the friction disc. good luck
Yes they were the same. Yeah the clutch pedal
Had pressure I even rebeld it. Yea it had a clutch so i came to the conclusion Thag something was wrong with re tranny... Pushed the car by hand and it made clunking noises went to drain the fluid before dropping it again... My luck metal shavings all over the drain plug. any idea how to open it up with out damaging it anymore? And how to put it back together? Thanks
