has anyone seen/used a set of sprint springs extreme for our beloved crx/civics? any pictures?
they are rated at 3.25 front drop and 3.0 rear drop.
hows the ride? what shocks were you using? spread some info as much as you can if you know about these EXTREME spring springs.
Sprint Springs Extreme.
part no. : x1000
color: green
please try to hesitate on posting unrelated comments. ie; buy ground control because they are better, sprint sucks, cheap springs, you get what you pay for, etc etc. I want to know specifically about sprint springs.

I'm running them and they're not to bad. I'm also using stock struts on all of them and they aren't blown, yet. IMO they're KINDA bouncy but not to bad. I'm pretty sure my front struts are on their way out the door so the front will bounce more than the rear. IMO these aren't bad spring.
I do believe I saw some on the H-T Marketplace for like 80 shipped or something like that? Not bad at all if you wanna just try them lol.
But ride heighth is another story. they are pretty low. I'm tucking both front and rear tire. The ride is level and after about 2-3 weeks they start to settle and sag which means about another .25-.5in drop. I had to get an alignment twice within two months because of the drastic drop messing up with the toe. Camber I wasn't to concerened about.

hmmm im planning these springs with adjustable shocks, you think it would ride better? what about the spring rates? what does it feel like?. any link to that person selling it for 80 shipped?
I couldn't even begin to guess on the spring rates. This is my first "real" lowered suspension set up. If you use adjustable shocks I'm sure you could make the ride a lot better than stock as these are damn near at their breaking point being this low.
Edit: These guys have them for like $137

i have them on my car with tokiko illuminas. Rides better than the skunk 2 sleeves I had. A little bouncy but not bad for the money. I keep my illuminas on the hardest setting to keep from bottoming out as easy.

if you were to take an estimated guess, what spring rates would you say these sprint springs are??
Of course it does. You can't just lower a car 3+ inches and expect it to never bottom out.
A car that low will be on the bumpstops everywhere. And it really takes a shortened shock to have any reasonable dampening, otherwise the shock will constantly be toward the very end of its range of motion (which, BTW, most shocks aren't designed to operate like that).
That's not specific to Sprint Springs, but you have to understand what the ramifications will be when you lower your car that much.

Had Sprint springs on my EF sedan and my buddy had them on his EG hatch.
These springs came to be known as "the springs that keep on lowering".
They WILL sag and keep lowering your car even several weeks after driving on them. I know they are priced right and thats why I bought them too, however in retrospect I should have waited until I could afford something better. Good luck on your project.

But mind you, ride quality usually isn't defined by the spring itself; a lot of what makes a nice (or poor) ride is in the shock valving. That's why when someone says "X springs ride like crap", a lot of that is what's dampening them.
My EF on 650lb springs and quality shortened shocks rides waaay better than a guy I know that had 300lb springs on his OEM shocks.
I had top hats on at one point, and it actually made the ride worse. Don't ask me why either cuz I dont know. I had 1.5in in the front and 2.5in in the rear. Took them off and the ride was better. My car has yet to hit the bumpstops. I have not heard any loud bags or have the rear start to dampen and then end with an abrubt stop of the stroke from the bump stops being hit. Just my .02c
And thanks for the comments on my car

Agreed. That's why I shared my experiences with the OP so he can make an informed decsion prior to purchasing these springs.
