It is a transistor. It is possible to replace. Just desolder it from the board and solder in a new one. If you have any bad ecus laying around you can steal it from there.

So how do I know a new transistor will work? Anyone local can solder/service this?

Not a "novice" fix due to the burnt traces but I can do it for $40 but I'm in Puerto Rico. PM me if interested

I don't know how to solder or not that good. Someone can service this for me? I need to fix this and don't want to spend money on another ecu if this is salvageable.

They have a very affordable repair service with a less than 24hr turnaround.

I sent one of my chipped p06 ecu's to Xenocron a few months ago due to the fact that t was throwing a constant Code 4. Got it fixed and shipped for around $50. I am completely on the opposite side of the states with them as well. Good place. I usually buy everything from them tuning/ecu products.

Just incase you didnt look at their website yet...check it out

LOL. You went from $40-$45. I've already contacted Chris Harris. Will this effect smog emissions? Does it have to do with my rough/surge idle?

Yes, $40 for the repair and $5 for shipping and it will cost me $10 to ship in a Flat Rate Box so I'm actually repairing it for $35.

Your in good hands with Chris. Later ;-)
