Default to you guys who truck 2 bikes at once

I have come acrossa pic of a ridgeline with a 600 and a liter in the back together. When I tie my r1 down, the straps barely clear the bodywork. how do you guys tie 2 down at the same time yet still clear the fairings?

I assume you put an anchor point in between the bikes for the inner bars to strap to, but I don't get how they clear with such a vertical strapping point.

From this view, the outer bars almost look to be outside the bed.

my friends used to load 2 bikes in an s-10. iirc they would tie-down the outer bars like normal then tie the inner bars together by the triple. they'd start by putting tension on the outer straps then the inner ones. we'd go on 2 hr drives to get to the track and they would never have problems.

Makes sense... I might option for a simple block of wood between the two front rims/tires, but that would be it.

It almost looks like the two inside bars are strapped together through a center point.

When we tied two bikes down we'd use the bed rail side anchor to triple tree and the other strap through the wheel of the other bike and anchor on the other side. Also, sometimes we load one bike inverted. One forward, one backward.

That's one good way. I try to use the triple whenever possible. An old racer used to tell me that using the handlebars would sometimes break the glue on his grips and then his grips would spin.

You can see here I wrapped around the triple and ran the straps inside the fairings.

I've seen it done a bunch of different ways. Get creative!

that is creative right there. so you wrapped it over the top of the triple, then down the inside of the lower triple and out under the fairings?
