How high can i rev my b20???

Default How high can i rev my b20???

I have a b20 in my 97 coupe...i just had an ls head with crower valve springs and titaintum retainers put on so i could rev alittle higher...but i here that it cant rev past 7,000 or BLAMO its blown ...can anyone give me an answer???

No use revving it past the point where it starts losing power. Get it dynoed if you can. But, I'd say keep it below 7,000 to be safe.

if you get cams that make power at 9k would the b20 be ok with a crank girdle, arp rod bolts and head studs and shot peened rods?

well if you buy good conecting rods, and a good pair of camshaft you can go down to the 9k, but if the engine is stock , just witj the vtec head i would recommend no more than 6800 to 7200
