Just wanted to post up some pictures of what my friend and I built for my hatch. My friend did all the welding I designed, cut and bent. For the valve cover I just made a template and he took it over from there. I can not thank him enough for the help.

I would like to see the lid design of the icebox, also the design of the a2w setup, its always very interesting to see what everyone else did as far as the pump use, line sizes, location of tank mounting/ic mounting etc.

That's a great idea. I assumed you just cut out the top of the valve cover in that area... Very ingenuitive...

What makes that design better than stock valve cover with the same fittings welded on with a small baffel plate also welded onto the inside of the stock valve cover?
My point is that, it seems like there should be an easier way

You are correct. You could just weld the lines above the stock baffeling and it would be easier. I am trying something different and I hope that no oil will come out of the two lines. If I can get it to do that I will be making another vc similar to this but larger. I will just have the scotch bright pads on top of the vc and the vc and catch can will be one unit. keeps everything compact and nice.
