Icon2 Piston question for a D15b2

i have a mini-me swap, and i read in a forum that they said, if i want more power, to put pistons from an D16 in my d15...

If i was wanting to put pistons from a D16A1 Integra, would i have to bore out my engine? or is that engine a 1.5 also?

and, what all would i have to do to replace them?
i dont know much about the bottom end. just the top.
any kind of advice, or help is very appreciative

well you would defintly have to bore the cylinders, but i think the problem with this lies within the wrist pin they may or may not be different sizes, i can only speculate this but i do know the main and rod journals are different between the 1.5s and 1.6s, and the d16 in the first gen teggy is 1.6

You would need custom length rods and they would fit other wise you will have low compression. bore is same stroke is different
i found two places for the correct pistons
bisimoto and aries
bisimoto is a sponser on here give them a call

you wont have to bore out the block. you will have to use the same rods in your d15. yes this will make pretty high compression when using a vtec head.

wait so theres no block boring involved, i thought you would but i guess not, but wouldnt kinda cause valve clearance issues

depends on your headgasket i suppose. unless you upgraded your valves. With my build im using pg7 pistons with a b2 block and not one d-series guru has said it wouldnt work. so im assuming you wont have clearance issues with the valves.
