what the hell is a signature series? signature series of what? who is 'signing' something?

are you asking if anyone has tried building a finished car minus the motor and selling them as-is so the customer can install whatever motor they want? if so, how is that a signature series of something?

it's called flipping cars. lots of people do it. they buy junkers, do the paint and body work and sell the unfinished projects to people who have specific engines and suspension setups they want to use. a lot of paint/body guys i know do it as side work. lots of people want nice looking fast cars, but most car guys (engine builders and 'go-fast' guys) can't for the life of them do any paint or body work. they would be the customer base. however, there are very few people who are into hondas who have any interest in quality. an easy majority will pay $5000+ for good engine work but want a show quality finish for a Maaco price. It's barely worth it to do work like that because no one wants to pay for quality paint work. As I said though, they'll pay out the *** for engines though.

if you expect anyone to understand what you're talking about, it would really help to actually explain yourself. no one knows what a 'signature shell' is.

oka like a guy that buys shells and repairs them, he would do various types of shells as in, RHD or lowered and lip kits, a complete jdm shell, civic and integra, and signs the shell well engrave his name in it and becomes not famous but reconized for it and makes a big name for him self as in Spoon, skunk2 something like that just another place to buy a shell the way you want it or better i guess i would say

right, that's pretty much as i described except you're talking about basically developing a 'brand name' that sells turnkey race/show/street cars for people who don't have the time, ability or interest in building them for themselves, but who still want a nice car.

like i said, it's very difficult to sell something like that to people who aren't willing to dish out the appropriate amount of cash. for the most part, honda owners aren't willing to spend that kind of money for pre-built cars. it's not the 'adult' hot rod crowd that's into hondas.
