I just turned 17 and I am looking to buy a car to tune. Im interested i Hondas but I want to know why so many people have them and tune them. What is so good about hondas that everybody wants to tune them?

 

Honda's are like lego's

 

tuning them is a broad word that i wouldnt use. i would however say that hondas are a great platform to learn on if you have an interest in cars. they are like lego's and are fairly simple to diagnose and repair. parts can be found fairly cheaply (though if too cheap, often "hot") and there is plenty of aftermarket support for almost every part you could ever want to replace.

 

also realiablility, great engines, crap i just lost my train of thought

 

JDM parts that are hella hard to find and reliability mostly

 

+++ If given TLC they're know to go 250k+ miles and run strong =]

 

Because its a Honda! What more can you ask for?

 

low price tag, interchangeability of parts and huge aftermarket support. You've also got the added bonus of an OBD1 honda ECU being essentially a stand alone ECU, its very easy to chip and tune, and comparatively cheap.
