Would that be the right length for a coupe?

^^ overpriced name brand exhausts are brainwashing everyone for years..

OP: goto VRSexhaust and get a tubing kit, find a res/muffler of your liking and save 200

I'm all for custom setups to save money and whatnot, but a lot of name brand exhausts, such as the WS2 are really nice exhausts. I wouldn't say they "brainwash" people.

Your best bet is to find a local muffler shop and have them build you a setup. I like the Magnaflow mufflers with one resonator.

Just like what the other guy said, have a muffler shop build you a custom catback. As an example, a local muffler shop is making catbacks from $99-$199. Muffler is your choice, i'd go with an ES Tuning oval muffler.

Only thing I don't like about my Greddy EVO2 is that it has a circular muffler and idiotic people who don't understand cars assume it's a damn fart cannon.

The Apexi WS2 is T409 stainless. Some of the cheap systems are T304 stainless. What this means is that this (T304) isn't going to last as long, since it WILL rust. And few exhaust shops are going to be using stainless at all. Most just use straight mild steel pipe and bend it. This is bad since one, it's mild steel and will last an even shorter amount of time. And two, they don't mandrel bend the pipe, they crush bend it and that causes restriction.

So, while the more expensive exhausts may seem more expensive up front, they can be cheaper and less hassle in the long run. Of course, if you can weld up a system yourself from T409 mandrel bends, this would be the best option.
