Default Fuel System Wiring...B16a vs Dohc Zc

Here is my issue. I am swapping an Obd0 B16a into my crx. The car is a jdm car, which originally came with a Obd0 Dohc ZC, so I understood that the fuel system wiring should line up perfectly but that is not the case.

The original wiring from the injectors only has a square clip with only 6 wires, but the B16 has a round clip with 8 wires.

My question is, what are the two extra wires for? Does anyone make a converter clip for this situation or know which wires I need to splice and where to attach them?

Here are pictures of the two different clips.

The fuel system is the same, as is the wiring

It's true i think the dizzy has the different style plug, i remember switching that back in the day with my old dohc zc, but it was easy, i just got another plug and switched the pins, took only 10 mins to do

Use your engine harness as it matches your chassis harness and move plugs as you need to,you will also have to add wiring for Vtec and like Deetz says you might have to changs the dizzy plug for the B16.

Rywire could do you a plug and play harness if you don;t want to do it yourself.

I can't see the b16 plug very well what color wires are on the plug? The dohc zc plug has the brown, blue, red, and yellow wires are for the injectors. The yellow/black wire is a power wire I think. What other colored wires are in the b16 plug?

The four wires that are the same are injector power the 2 yellow black stripe are power to the injector resistor box the red yellow brown and blue are the injector signal wires to the ecu

looks like you're wondering why the plugs are different on the drivers side shock tower. is your crx happen to be an 88? i believe they used the square six plug in 1988 then switched it to the round 8 wire plug in 89.

either way you are supposed to use your stock engine harness as your car wont be wired for vtec, and ad the required wiring as necessary.

Yes mine is a 88, that must explain it. I didn`t want to use my harness because it has been hacked pretty good by the po, but i guess i`ll have to make it work...The reason I thought I would be able to use the harness was because the motor had already been swapped in a crx before, but it was an 89 so I guess that explains why the wiring didn`t just match up.
