Just replaced the battery and alternator in my 01 Accord, and I've lost my radio code! Bought the car used, so no owner's manual. Last time I lost the code (thanks to leaving the dome light on and draining the battery!), I contacted every Honda dealership here in town, and they all wanted to charge me!

Can anyone please help? My S/N is U1116L1201. If you need any additional information please let me know.

Call or visit the dealership's parts department - the fee they want to charge is for the removal of the radio. Just give them the radio code and proof of ownership and you're done.

The problem with that is that the car is still in my Dad's name, and we don't live in the same city. So, the registration/tag receipt has his name on it, not mine. I am supposed to visit them next weekend, so maybe I can get it taken care of then.

 

Just called the dealership where the Accord AND my 04 Element was purchased. Less than a mile from my house. They offered to give me my Element code, but nothing on the Accord. Funny since I took out the factory radio in the Element over 2 years ago, and actually have the manual & code for it!

I know you already gotten the code; but, fyi for others; another alternative is that if you call Honda America, the customer service rep. may give you the code over the phone. I had to do this once for my old Accord I gave to my nephew.
