B16a2 First Turbo Build...
Hey guys this is my 1st build, been searching through the mountain of info on this site and getting abit lost in it all!
My basic goal is 300whp on stock b16a2 block.
I have $2000 for the turbo kit (would rather buy a full kit than custom)
Exhaust, clutch and tuning funds already sorted.
Car is 93' DelSol Sir, stripped 2100lbs.
No pas, no a/c.
Will be used for mainly drag, but street legal.
I'm in the UK so dont need to worry about any laws like you guys.
If anyone could suggest a suitable kit, off the shelf or any other ideas.

same sentiment here. that like the old school drag kits that had the wastegate on the #1 runner i believe.
honestly i would get a bigger turbo than the t3 super 60. i just tuned a friends b16 eg coupe with a t3t4 57 trim but .48 exhaust housing a/r. car is beautiful to drive. spool is fast enough (9psi in the low 4000 range) and it pulls extremely smoothly to 8200.
make sure to properly invest in engine management, tuning and dont forget a clutch upgrade.

Thanks for the replys guys, i see what you mean about the wastegate placement, I had not noticed that....
The more I look into this, the more going custom kit, seems the better option, its just the cost of having all the parts shipped over individually thats putting me off, as it will bump up the total cost.
Having said that I could just upgrade the turbo maybe to something with .63 exhaust side?
and maybe a ramhorn or topmount with 3" downpipe at a later date?
