I am about to buy a type r tranny. Do all type r transmissions come with lsd? if not what is the USDM tranny code with lsd?

 

You should do a google search. All usdm ItR transmissions have LSD. I believe the transmission code is Y80. Or S80. One of those

I just checked my local acura website and it says its a p80. What is this???

*gasp* i failed. must've misread that chart.

 

Y80 for all the 94-95 Integras and S80 for 96-01 Integras no matter if is RS,LS,GS,GSR or Type R but you can indentify the USDM Type R tranny because at the top has LSD and J4D painted in black. P80 is the part number for it not the code.

 

do make sure it's a real itr transmission. j4d lsd is stamped on them, if they has washed off you can check the diff to make sure it's hollow. if it has an s80 tag and hollow diff you're probably alright but it still in theory could be an ls or gsr trans with an itr diff
