Default ODB2 Scanners & Repair Database

I'm new to DTC scanning and all, so bear with me. I've been looking at several basic scanners by Equus and Actron. Along with these there's the repair/tech support database issue, such as CanODB2.com and Repairpath.com.

Can anyone offer a perspective on a good support service for repairs, or why I should avoid certain ones?

I have the Equus Innova 3130 OBD2 scanner. I use CanOBD2.com information all the time with out any issues. Best thing about working on Honda's is if the repair solutions doesn't have enough info. There is enough info free online. I got this tool more for the domestics that I work on. Not as much free info online for some of them as there is for any Acura/Honda.

I was looking most seriously at the Equus 3130. What stopped me, so far, is the difficulty of getting clear information from CanODB2.com. They don't put prices on the site and they obscure what information you're getting. I even called the 800 support number and the guy told me something different from what's online. They say that some of the repair information is provided by Chilton.
