Okay so it's not a honda but I was hoping maybe someone would be able to help anyway.
I have an 01 Mitsu Eclipse GS w/ Sportronic/auto trans (I just joined here cause of my CBR I just got)

Today as I was driving home from work (on the PA Turnpike) i noticed my steering wheel starting to shake a little and an odd knocking noise, at first I thought maybe I had flat tire so I pulled over to check, nope. So I go off at the next exit to give it a better look without cars wizzing by at 75 mph.
The knocking does not happen if I am accelerating or braking semi-hard but if I am maintaining a speed then it does, the faster I'm going the faster the knocking.
Something IS definitely leaking, almost positive it's transmission fluid. But I pulled the dipstick and it didn't look low.

If anyone knows what might be wrong with it help would be greatly appreciated because I'm supposed to go up to visit my buddy at Bloomsberg this weekend but if I can't figure out what's wrong I won't be making the trip. (about a 2 hour drive)

I had a similiar problem a few weeks ago, car made a knocking sound and the steering wheel shuttered but when I was stopping or accelerating it stopped. Turns out the place that did my clutch didnt tighten the bolts on the upper control arm or cotter key them and it completely seperated from the ball joint! Get underneath it and check all the bolts, leaking tranny fluid might be something completely different. could be something as simple as loose lug nuts. check all ur moving suspension parts.

Doh! yep thats what it was. Thanks for the response. I went under and checked everything out and found nothing until I brought it back down and realized the lugs were loose.
I do gotta do something about that fluid leak though. I'm bannished to the street as long it's dripping.
