I have a 1997 honda accord with 125,000 miles. Upon start up it misses for about 3-5 seconds. It sometimes triggers a misfire code. It's not the same cylinder either. The tune-up is fresh, plugs ,wires ,cap and rotor. Along with a fuel and air filter. I'm sure it's electrical maybe the module? I don't think it's fuel related, because I'm sure that the misfire code is genrated from a sensor related to the ignition sytem. Other than that it runs great. Any help would be appreciated.

 

What are the codes?

Do you have the ability to check the sensors inside of the distributor?

 

The codes are random cylinder misfires. It has been all four of them at one time or another. No I do not have the ability to test the sensors. Unless it can be done using a multi meter.
