if I were you I would stick with b18 /b20 , b16's are anemic (sp?) and they just dont have the torque and the aggressive cams . even if I wasn't selling my motor I would be telling you the same thing , I too wanted a b16 before I got my motor and RyanA talked me out of it , and for good reason , the differentials are also crap in the b16 and cant take a beating like the GSR or ITR transmission can .

need a complete swap. everything. engine, tranny, ecu, harness, shiftlinkage, and shafts. Need mounts too if they will work for a 98 civic lx

you dont need a harness to make a b18 work in your car.

you can make due with the LX harness I beleive , or at least thats how it is on my 98 EX. I know you will have to wire up Vtec differently but thats about it. then again I did this on my 98 ex so Ide have to double check my facts.

 

yeah he will have to wire the vtec in and thats about it hecan use that lx harness

 

good to know but what about the knock sensor and if the engine is obd1 or obd0? will it still be the same?
