Default H22 swap in 1995 Accord..Runs but won't start by itself help!!!

Just did a H22a4 swap into a 1995 accord. Runs great, drove the car down the road w/o any problems. Just will not start on its on, has to have starting fluid to be able to crank.

Any ideas?

So, you're saying the car won't crank unless you give it starting fluid?

That's like saying "The apple fell up into the tree".

H22A4 (OBD2) into a 95 (OBD1), how did you wire up the CKP & TDC sensors?

Are you 100% positive the timing belt is on properly? Sounds like you're a tooth off or so. I remember my first h22 swap, and I ended up with the same problem.

Have you tried cracking the throttle a bit by pressing the gas while attempting to start it?

You know what? I had a similar issue with an ECT before. It was causing impossible cold starts. Motor wouldn't start until the coolant temp was warm. Turns out it was a malfunction in the ECT. Are warm starts possible without the starting fluid?

Have you fixed the IAT, ECT and VTEC codes?

Did running the stock ECU throw any different codes?

I would definitely fix any CELs before trying to diagnose a problem like this. It's the only way...

Sounds like a fuel problem or fuel flow isn't sufficient.
