Gauge Cluster 92 integra
So long story short i need my dimmer control for my gauge cluster to control lighting on my gauge's. My lights that light up my gauge cluster dont work, everything else works ( blinkers, check engine light ect ) so i switched out the bulbs put cluster back in and still dosent work, i checked plug for my dimmer controls everything looks fine but it dosent work ( least i dont think cant tell less lights on cluster work ) my question is, is my cluster bad? what else can i check to fix the main lighting for my cluster? any info would help, thanks its a 92 integra ls btw
The question is do they work at all, or are they just not dimming?
Do other dash illumination lights work, [heater control panel, radio panel, glove box, cigarette lighter and the switch lights (hazard/rear window defog/fog/cruise control) and A/T position switch if an auto]?
If so, do they dim properly?
Assuming other dash lights work I would check the power and ground for the cluster illumination, at the cluster plug...
Red/black is 12V+, [power] for the cluster illumination, it should be hot when park/head lights are on.
Red is cluster illumination ground, the ground is supplied by the "Dash Lights Brightness Controller", [dimmer control] through a variable resistor. 94
