I own a 98 Accord LX 4dsd, 4spd. automatic, and just the other day I noticed my cruise control was not being activated after depressing the dashboard button for cruise. In addition; I noticed my dome light does not come on when ANY of the 4 doors are opened..I carefully checked the fuse panels for blown fuses(driver's side and passenger side) and fuse box under the hood nested against the passenger side firewall; fuses were all intact. In addition; I checked the dome light bulb separately for proper operation and it illuminates when provided with 12 volts of current. Any suggestions on where to continue my trouble shooting diagnoses? There was no sign of any loose or broken/burned wires in any of the fuse panels or dome light cavity.

 

Any CEL? Cause it could be anything in the CC system- CC switch, CC main switch, CC module, CC actuator.

Couldn't tell ya about the dome, got me stumped on that one.

Did the cruise control problem and the dome light problem occur around the same time?

You "are all over it" Red Bull1...must have esp and/or a lot of experience with hondas...new aftermarket alarm system very recently installed that is wired to the brake light and the black/white door switch wire in the passenger side fuse panel....the alarm itself also is malfunctioning....tk for the links they were very informative....
