Hey guys,

I am running a set of 17x7 in rims with a +42 offset (I think) on my EP3. It is lowered just under 1.5 inches.

I am currently running a 215/45/17 and haven't noticed any rubbing but I am looking to possibly go a little larger.

Do you guys know what you can run on an EP3?

225 rubs..i think becuase i was really low..

 

ya 225 is pretty much the limit... I know a few running 235 but they be rubbing a little.

 

Well I am rocking the 215s now, I will probably stick with those.

I know they work and so I will stick with those.

Anyone have an experience with the difference between a 40 series and a 45 series?

 

i think 215/45 is perfect for a 7inch rim, theres no point in going wider.

Yes, I've had both 17x7 rims with 215/45 and 17x7.5 with 215/40 tires.

Obviously the thinner sidewall makes for a bumpier ride, but better control under hard cornering.

 

Friend of mine runs 245 up front and 225 in the rear with little to no rub.. with proper alignment u can run these setups with good offset wheels

My 225's in the rear with 1.5 deg camber dont rub at all, and they are Dunlop Z1's which are just as wide as a falken Azenis in 235's. They are beefy *** tires and clear no problem with rolled fenders. Add an extra .5* camber and youll clear without rolling.

Up front I used to run a 235 azenis on a 17x9 +35 wheel with no rubbing at -1.8* camber. Me new setup Im running now is a 245 Dunlop Z1 on the same wheel, but I also added DC5R control arms which essentially pushed the wheels out another 3/4 inch. To clear now with the new setup in the front Im running -3.5* with slightly pulled fenders and no rubbing.

Its amazing how much wheel and tire you can fit up front, but the rear youre limited to a 225.
