srp makes a set of pistons for usdm d15. depending on your goals there really is no need for aftermarket pistons as the pm3's that come factory in the b2/b7 are of perfect design for a high comp build, there flat top and 0 deck right from honda. mill your head for desired compression this also tighens up the quench for a more explosive burn

ARIAS makes an actual d15 specific piston now. It was designed a little over a year ago.

Thanks guys i looked up ARIAS and i only saw d16 pistons in the catalog. I found the srp pistons for the d15 but they were only 10.5:1. do i need to call them for answers about the pistons?

On the block i bought the pistons had pm3 and 0.8 on the top have they been bored oversized?

I dont wanna mill the head more than i have to to make it flat i heard there are timing problems if i take to much off

Finally my goal on building this motor is to have a dd with 175-200 on all motor (i dont wanna mess with a turbo) using 10.5:1 pistons, a good cam, headers, slightly larger injectors, and a good tune is this an ok goal or what else would i need to do to get around that.

thanks for the answers on pistons

your gonna need more then 10.5: comp to get to 175-200. for good d-series info you need to check out some other sites like www.d-series.org cause most people around here frown upon d's especialy n/a d's , but they are my area of expertice

If you are serious, go to One cam only, with no spaces of course

If you are interested we can get you setup with a custom set of D15 pistons. We have done custom pistons for that motor in the past and are more than capable of getting you squared away!

Please let me know if there is anything else I can assist you with

the head on my b2 build is milled .060 with pm3 pistons and its about 11.7:1 with a crane 12 cam and the timing is close to 7* on the cam gear 4.75 for the d16 cam on a d15 and 2* for the head mill. rule of thumb is 1* for ever .030 milled off head. ive seen
.110 milled off a non vtec pm3 casting with no issues

I wouldn't deal with anyone else but these guys when deciding what to do with a SOHC motor.

hey guys i called both ARIAS and Bisimoto and both were able to get me sqared away with pistons and prices thanks for the help on finding options.

now i was wondering with the 12.5:1 pistons how radical of a cam can i go with out fear of hitting the valves is there a formula on piston to valve clearence so i know what my cam can be ground to before i do it.

thanks for all the help again
