ebay turbo 97 ls, after the car warms up it smoke white smoke out the breather on the valve cover, what does this most likely mean? also when i was driving in fifth gear the other day for about a 4 or 5 mile period the clutch pedal just dropped to the floor and gave me barely any play to shift, but once i shifted gears continiously again it was all the way up and stiff like it was suppose to be, what does this most likely mean?

check your oil and see if it turned milky, i wouldnt be surprised if you blew a head gasket

 

yea that would probably explain why im experiencing an empty radiator and overheating after a 30-45 minute drive wouldnt it?

 

yes, check thermostat too. get the head checked too while its off

 

i would love to get the head checked but im stationed in korea no real mechanics around here maybe if u could explain what to look for i could check it myself, love that kinda **** anyways

 

get a straight edge, and a feeler gauge. i'm not sure what the specs should be on a stock head tho

 

I have to agree, HG, pull the head and replace the head gasket.

You said, "im stationed in korea" I assume in the military, if so, my bet is there is a hell of a good machine shop on your base, even the mechanics at the car pool could probably check the head for warpage, that said, if a straight edge shows true, your probably OK with a new HG. 94
