blown head gasket?

Re: blown head gasket?
What about bubbles in the radiator? Open the radiator cap ( when safe ), have the car running and rev the motor slowly. If u see bubbles then its a bad head gasket.

The coolant has to be going somewhere. Either leaking or getting burned off.
If you don't see anything wet (check the engine itself underneath for wetness, not just the ground), then it's probably burning it off. White smoke should come out of the exhaust and have a sweet smell to it. Check it while it's parked and running, you might not be able to see the smoke if you check behind you while you are driving.
Check the color of your oil on the dip stick, is it black or like a chocolate milk brown color?

Same problem in my 2003 CRV that I just bought 6 weeks ago; diagnosed yesterday as a blown head gasket. They won't know till they pull it apart if the valves and the head are ok.

Also, if there's no white smoke, that doesn't mean the headgasket isn't blown.
My car was overheating and coolant was disappearing for about 2 months before the coolant started pouring out of the exhaust.
If you need any advice or a list of links/how to's or walkthrough on changing the headgasket, I'd be happy to provide you with it, just PM me if you're sure it is a headgasket problem. I'll send you the links/walkthrough from there.

The local Honda dealership has diagnosed low compression on cylinders #2 & #3; we've been getting error codes from the engine since we bought the CRV 6 weeks ago. "Misfire on cylinder #2", "misfire on cylinder #3" and "random misfire". Compression #'s are 160, 130, 120 and 160.
They also said they found antifreeze in the exhaust but oil looked fine.

Wait, CRV? This is the Civic section, not the CRV section.
