Default GS-R Running Rich Help!

I have a 00 gsr (i/h/e) that is running rich and I believe this is why its burning oil (quart/1000 miles) because I changed the pcv valve and ran compression and leak down tests that came back normal.

If I dont wash my car for a few weeks the back bumper gets coated with black stuff and I can also smell fuel when I start it up.

I was wondering why it is doing this.

I imagine if it was the o2 sensors that would throw a code.

It throws a code for an evap emissions leak p1456 but I wouldn't think that has anything to do with it. Please enlighten me if it does.

I am looking for possible causes and maybe a run down of tests I can perform on it to diagnose this.

I appreciate any helpful responses...

possibly ur valve cover gasket could be bad and leaking small amount or ur spark plug seals as well which will let oil into ur spark plugs, i would check those and see and if not those maybe check to see if ur losing oil from ur oil filter not being tight enough or not creating a good seal. these have happened to me on a few cars.

That code could signify a vacuum leak in the EVAP system. It's often a gas cap problem. You could test the MAP sensor signal voltage while the car is running and after it has reached normal operating temp but I don't know off hand what the normal idle vacuum reading should be for your engine. If you don't have enough vacuum in the IM at idle, closing the idle screw some should make it run better. This is for diagnostic purposes only. You'd want to locate the leak and then reset the idle later on. Too little vacuum in the IM usually causes revving/bouncing idle when you hit the brake hard.
