Default running on 3 cylinders?

sohc vtec sounds like a expletivein subaru and is really down in power. CEL code is 71
im gonna do a leakdown test probably tomorrow but in the meantime, just wanna see if there are other scenarios i hadn't thought of.
sparkplug #1 has oil on the tip, not the thread or body, so that rules out the plug/valve cover gasket.
i switched plugs, still the same...
checked firing order...same
changed plug wires...same

i am assuming there is blowby. and CEL 71 indicates a misfiring fault in cylinder #1.
could it be something else (dizzy) other than rings? chime in...
thanks in advance

If your sure its oil, thats deff not good and could be excessive blow-by. How many miles are on the motor. Is your plug gaps correct as well?

you could have a blown headgasket in the oil passage so yea its only a matter of time, becuase my SOHC did the same thing

140k on motor. it was boosted 3months ago and ran absolutely fine when i went back NA. gaps are correct. just checked them. 3 plugs have the normal burn color. #1 is wet and dark.

it happened first time i started it today, had a slapping sound at first that slowly went away and then it sounded like a boxer engine. probably a matter of time til it blows blue smoke huh?

A leak down or comp test will deff help. But id say either the rings or h/g thats about the only way for oil to get in there, and seeing as how its boosted with 120k.
