Clifford alarm wont let me start my HONDA....HELP QUICK!!
I have a honda accord 96 with a clifford alarm that came with the car, dont know anything about the alarm..All i know it has an automatic starter with it and it unlocks/locks my doors. I was having some problems with the remote or (mayb it was the alarm itself) that sometimes it would'nt unlock my doors...after a while of trying it finnaly unlocks it...anyways, my car has been sitting for over a month, so i go to start my car and i notice the battery was completely dead cause my fiance left a light on. I changed the battery and go to start the car and it would not even click...lights and all turns on but it wont click at all...so im guessing is the alarm thats not letting it turn on....I dont want to pay to get it towed, dont want to pay to get it checked cause i know they gonna charge me a arm and a leg for something i could've have done.... what can i do to eliminate the alarm completely so i can just start my car with out the damn alarm?
thankz

On my clifford alarm, the installer installed like a switch next to the hood release, so i can disable the alarm completely. The manual says to put ur key to on and flip the switch. Might want to check the fuse on the alarm system too...
I should add that, the switch is for the valet It basically disengages the alarm system. The alarm indicator should be lit all the time in valet mode. But ummm, other than that. Don't knows.

Get some jumper cables and try to jumpstart it. Also, if your car is armed and sits for a month the battery is gonna die since the alarm draws power, you would just need to jumpstart the car and let it run for about fifteen minutes or so to recharge the battery. I bet the battery was still fine it just needed to be charged. Also, you could try push starting it if you have a stickshift. Just sit in it and have someone push it and just pop the clutch in first gear with the key on.
