EP3 K20a2 Swap, Kpro worth it?
I have an EP3, and i have gotten ahold of a K20a2 full swap. ive put the motor in and im useing a sock RSX-S ECU and had the key immobilizer thing done, but i still get a check engine light on. and its seems to to be getting enough of something, (fuel or air not sure) but, if i disconnect the battery for a few moments, and reconnect it runs very nice. and after the next start up or two, it reverts to its old habbits... would Kpro help this issue, and if so, would Kpro reflash or the full hearted Kpro be better to buy? (if this isnt the right place for all of this, i appologize, this is my first post)
Kpro would just make it run one million and three times better with a good tune. You might even get some hp and gas mileage with a Kpro tune. So yes it is worth it.
now, ive heard some people talking, and i didn't know if they were exagerating or what, but they were quoting up to 60hp gain on just stock motor with I/H/E? is that possible? and they also said, they made a map where they were getting about 45mpg on highway.
if you did i/rh/e/kpro/itr cams and rrc manifold you might be close to a 60hp gain with a good tune
depends what parts you go with... not too much without kpro and a tune...i made 193whp/146tq with i/rh/e/kpro...but if your serious about doing a k24/k20 frank with 2.6 stroke kit just buy kpro and save everything and get the swap going.....
do some research...check out clubep3 or ephatch...

buy it, itll work. never gona get 45mpg, but the 60 hp mark is doable.. with the right parts.. your gona be a lot closer with quality parts rather than some pos dcsports crap. just remember u get what you pay for.
