Default Opinion on where to brace my turbo

So I'm working on a single setup for my 300zx and am running flex sections in the crossover pipe so I definatly need the turbo supported, my question is if I should go to the frame or to the motor. I am using aluminum motor mounts and a urethane trans mount so the motor shouldnt move much, plus the flex's i'm leaning towards doing it to the frame, but i'd like to hear some opinions.

Here is the setup, as of now I have a jig to the frame. Ignore the ugly bay and the dirty motor please, they will be dealt with in time

I think the vibrations & movement would fatigue the stainless flex pipes after a short period. The engine would make much more sense, however you don't seem to have many options. Not having a good look at the engine, two bars that bolt between the oil pan bolts & curve up to the turbo may be a decent idea. A decent support that also connects to a higher part of the motor will help triangulate it.

I'd deffinately take care of the plenum issue, I would presume that's why you're eating timing belts.

Not eating timing belts.. was a old snapped belt I had from another motor I was testing clearences with the plenum and the idler pulley. Setup hasn't been ran before. But yeah after doing some more research im going to make one to the motor.. not sure how yet but it will certainly be complex and full of peril.

if you dont have solid mounts you will have to mount it to the motor

If you can get something bolted near the center of the motor out of the way of the belt, that would be ideal. I usually try to avoid mounting turbos off of "ears" on the block if I can.
As mentioned, triangulating somehow would be best due to the distance away from the block. Use stainless or 4130 material for the heat and higher strength.
Another option is to support the downpipe close to the turbo with a "repad" to spread the load. Depending on where it runs, might be closer to the motor and offer a more elegant solution.

The downpipe is going out the fender so that idea won't quite work haha. The other problem is hood clearence, the turbo comes pretty close to the hood how it sits so bracing from the top would be tricky, I was thinking about making the brace from the motor to the turbo flange rather than the motor to the turbo, thoughts?

What about finding a way to bolt the braces to that "DIY engine mount" material. It should act as a damper and take of that repeated fatigue loading off.

Yeah, to the flange is what I was thinking.

If your flex pipes were with flange(like V band) at the end, they'll be easier to change later.(instead of welded on you manifold). no?
