Default Finally got it.

Those of you that know me (or been on this site for a long while), know that I've wanted an RC, and was going to buy one 4 years ago (to go along with my old '03 600RR). A few long term girlfriends and 2 bikes later, I finally picked one up. One owner, 8k miles, all stock but the pipes. I have an '06 600RR as well.

It's not nearly as hard to ride as I thought. It's actually easier to ride than the RR. Only the initial turn-in is harder than the RR. Once in mid corner, it's very stable.
But it's terribly hot (it hit 90 here today), and the bars seem lower than the RR. I just picked it up today - feels slower than the RR, but it may be the fact that it doesn't sound like it's working as hard when getting on it.

Anyways, yay.

I'm not going to do anything but get the VFR shifter and pads. The owner had put sport touring tires on there as well. I'll probably leave those on there since I'm still tracking the RR.

I'd be looking to keep the bike as close to mint stock as possible, they are getting harder and harder to find in that condition.

Congrats man, I always lust after the RC51s on the local classifieds...too bad most of them are either mad expensive or in very bad conditions.

Really? they are about as difficult to obtain as sand out here in Arizona, they can barely give them away.

but they are always worked or dropped. I'd like one unmolested in the garage.
